Perfect Typography is the Most Elusive of All Arts

This lettering design was my submission for the Homage to Josep Maria Pujol, a group exhibition held at Barcelona’s Eina Espai Barra de Ferro Gallery.

The first picture shows the final piece. As you scroll down you will see my process of work from calligraphy, to hand lettering to final vector digitisation. Half way through the process I realized that I was thinking in Catalan and English at the same time as the spell of the word Tipography shows in the last two images.

The lettering has many details and the final piece, although being a pure vector file, it has a warm and handmade (human) feeling.
